HOW WE WORK / KRAPTON UK
Close collaboration.Clear forward motion.
How Krapton delivers software for UK businesses: discovery, prototype, build and evolve. Milestones with acceptance criteria, weekly demos, written updates and a handover that leaves you in control.
UK-registered company. International engineering team.01 / THE IDEA
Four stages. Nothing hidden.
A software project fails in the gaps: between what was asked for and what was understood, between a progress report and working software, between launch and the support that never arrived. Our process is designed to close those gaps, whether you are building an MVP, a bespoke business system or an AI product.
It is deliberately simple. Four stages, each producing something you can see and decide on, with the responsibilities, milestones and acceptance criteria agreed before we commit.
- 01Discover
Understand the real problem.
We listen, challenge assumptions and agree what success looks like. Your business goals come before the technology.
- Stakeholder and user interviews
- Process and system mapping
- Constraints: budget, timeline, compliance, data
- A written brief, scope and quote
OutcomeA shared brief. A clear direction. - 02Prove
Make the idea tangible.
Explore the experience, test the riskiest assumptions and shape the architecture before committing to a full build.
- Clickable prototypes tested with users
- Technical spikes on the hardest problems
- Architecture, integrations and hosting plan
- A milestone plan with acceptance criteria
OutcomeA prototype. An agreed scope. - 03Build
Build in the open.
Short development cycles, regular demos and direct conversations with your engineering team. Review working software as it takes shape.
- Weekly or fortnightly demonstrations
- A staging environment you can use
- Automated tests, code review and security checks
- Written progress notes and a shared backlog
OutcomeVisible progress. Thoughtful engineering. - 04Evolve
Launch is a beginning.
Release with testing, documentation and a plan for support. Then improve the product as you learn from real use.
- Launch checks, monitoring and rollback plan
- Documentation and handover in your name
- Maintenance retainer or continuing roadmap
- Reviews of usage, cost and priorities
OutcomeA considered launch. A path forward.
02 / Principles
You always know where things stand
Demos, written updates and a shared backlog replace status meetings and surprises.
Scope is written down
What is in, what is out and what changing it costs, agreed before work starts and re-quoted in writing if it changes.
Security and data protection from the start
Access, hosting, retention and UK GDPR obligations are design decisions, not launch-day checks.
Nothing is locked in
Repositories, cloud accounts and domains belong to you. Documentation means any developer can pick the work up.
FAQ
We work in short cycles with regular demonstrations, a shared backlog and re-prioritisation as you learn. Whether that is called Scrum, Kanban or something else matters less than the working software you see each cycle.
A product owner on your side who can make decisions and attend demos is the single biggest predictor of a good outcome. Typically that is a few hours a week during build.
They usually do. Changes are discussed against the agreed scope, and anything that affects cost or timeline is re-quoted in writing before it is built.
Working-hours overlap with the UK is agreed for every engagement, and demos, reviews and stand-ups are scheduled inside it. Written updates cover the rest.
You choose: a maintenance retainer, a continuing roadmap with the same team, or a documented handover to your own developers. The code and infrastructure are yours in every case.
